Northport Police radio system overhaul in the works
NORTHPORT, AL (WBRC)- Northport Police are looking forward to getting a better radio system.
Officials say there are dead spots in some parts of the city and the radios don't work as well in areas with hills or valleys.
Also, Northport's current system can't communicate with Tuscaloosa police or the sheriff's department.
A system overhaul will take two years and cost $1.5 million dollars.
