Cottondale VFW Post to host Patriot Day ceremony | News
COTTONDALE, AL (WBRC)- The public is invited to a 9/11 memorial ceremony held at the Cottondale VFW Post Tuesday morning. The Patriot Day Ceremony will be held at 8:46 a.m. at the post located at 7001 University Blvd. East.
"The Post Ceremonial Bell will ring at 8:46 am followed by the lowering of the flag to half-mast in honor of those who perished on September 11, 2001," Walter Turner with the VFW said in a release.
Coffee and doughnuts will be served at the ceremony. The VFW Post 6022 and Ladies Auxiliary are hosting the event.
